Dave is a Virginia native, and although he grew up in Falls Church, Roanoke and Richmond, by way of his dadâs career as a Methodist minister, he enjoyed summers in North Carolina and became fascinated with sailing in his early 20âs. From his first experience with a Sunfish he rented in Ocean City, MD that got him hooked, to the Flying Scots and J 24s, as well as the Prindle 18 catamaran, to finally owning his own boat, a CAL 35, Dave has sailed around the Chesapeake Bay for over 30 years. He and his wife currently own a Beneteau 411 and they continue to enjoy all the Bay has to offer.
Dave attended both the Annapolis and Chesapeake Bay Sailing Schools and is a member of American Sailing. He loves learning about different boat manufacturers and stays up to date on safety techniques and maintenance requirements and always looks forward to seeing the latest and greatest at the Annapolis Sailboat Show each year. As a business owner for over 20 years, Dave sold furniture to IT and tech firms, several military installations such as the Naval Academy, Aberdeen Proving Ground and NAVSEA, as well as government agencies and local businesses.
His past business experience taught him the importance of what true customer service means and the value of building relationships. Whether you are a first-time buyer navigating your way through the process or an avid boater in the market to sell and upgrade, Dave will work hard to ensure your experience is an exceptional one.
