No, most sellers do not attend unless they plan to captain their own boat. If they do not attend, the seller is responsible for paying for a captain. Your VYS broker and the surveyor will coordinate everything. You may join virtually or review the findings afterward.

Typical seller documents include:

• Title or USCG Certificate of Documentation

• Registration

• Payoff information (if a loan exists)

• Valid ID

• Recent service records (recommended)

• Bill of Sale (provided at closing)
